Working through Julia's references, we identified the visual language she was drawn to before she had fully articulated it herself, and built a concept that could carry across the full weekend: the welcome dinner, the ceremony, and the reception.

The centrepiece was a piece of bespoke furniture that was designed from scratch. We wanted Jacob and Julia to be surrounded by their guests rather than separated from them, so we conceived a sculptural dining table that would sit at the heart of the gallery space. Part seating, part installation. We developed the concept through multiple rounds of sketches and commissioned a specialist craftsman to build it. The single curved leg follows the entire form of the table. The piece has since become so sought after that the maker now rents it to other clients.

Before the guests arrived, we walked Jacob and Julia into the finished room. Their reaction is what motivates us to pour ourselves into every event in the way we do.
