Roll Up, Roll Up - Food Truck Ideas for your French Wedding

food truck French wedding

Food and drink are mighty important parts of any wedding day. Once you’ve got your local French caterer booked, you might be thinking about what’s going to happen food-wise later in the evening. After all, partying is thirsty and hungry work! At Best Events, we encourage couples to offer their guests an extra snack in the evening so they have enough energy to party well into the night. One our favourite options for this is a food truck! These options are also great for three day wedding parties in France, they can cater for the day before or after your wedding if you fancy too.

  1. Ice cream

Perfect for hot summer days, we work with wonderful ice cream providers. Some work from adorable vintage trucks, whilst others have ice cream bicycles, or just a standard freezer that we can customise to your theme. We advocate for locally sourced, organic products where possible and a couple of local favourites are salted caramel from the île de Ré, and Cognac-Raisin!

  2. Gourmet burgers

On the heavier side, but definitely still a popular choice, are gourmet burgers. We work with a few food trucks who offer burgers, with veggie and vegans catered for too. They also offer mini versions for kids if you have any little ones attending. They’re a lovely option for the day before or after the wedding if you’re planning a three day wedding in France too.

  3. Pizza

An ever popular treat, pizza food trucks are a wonderful option for your guests in the evening. A particularly good idea for parties that have lots of kids (or, let’s be honest, big kids too…) With easy vegetarian and gluten free options it’s also easy to adapt to serve your guests dietary requirements too.

  4. Paella

We work with an incredible paella food truck, they offer meat, shellfish, and vegan paellas to suit the needs of all your guests. Paella is nice and filling making it perfect as a meal the day before or after your wedding, or even as the main meal on your wedding day if you’re looking for a relaxed wedding in France.

  5. Cocktails

I know we said food trucks, but cocktails and mocktails are a staple of every wedding guest’s diet so we can’t leave them out. There are tons of options for Nouvelle Aquitaine weddings to have as a cocktail truck, from converted caravans to horse-boxes, and even vintage French cars! We also work with an amazing company that creates cocktail popsicles and the best frosé (rosé slushies).
